#Sampletank 3 sounds download#
I need to download this to my office computer then move it to the studio which is not online. Kudos to IK for having fast dl servers on day 1! More specifically, my question is really: can I save multis in ST 2.5 and open them in ST3? And also, does miroslav/samplemoog etc need to be re-installed for ST3 or can I just copy the folders from ST2.5 to ST3?Īlready got my email from Sweetwater. After you are comfortable with old and new projects working as you'd want them to, then and only then would I consider removing now-redundant libraries. This means you will still not want to uninstall/remove the 2.5 XL library immediately - you can keep it around for any possible migration you may do. It is a different application and plugin and you will be able to migrate your old projects on your terms - if you even decide to. this is a completely new version and it will not replace your current SampleTank 2.5 installation nor will it replace the 2.5 plugin in your projects.
As far as backward compatibility, though. The whole 2.5 XL library is included, yes.

Me - I'm waiting for the email with my serial numbers and download links - haven't gotten it yet (6:14AM US eastern). I'm just glad it'll read the old libraries/expansion tanks like Brit Horns and a couple of others that find their way into my music. While what you ask would be nice it's not really possible especially when the new program is essentially that - a new program that has almost nothing in common in the way it works with the old version. I am still VERY careful about buying IK Multimedia products only because of this practice! The way to go would be the way Toontrack did with the latest version of EZ Drummer. I know I have criticized this with Amplitude 2 and 3, and I have to for this release again. The way to do it would be to make the new version read the plug-in settings from the old version, so the users can get rid of old installations and also retain the ability to open archived projects a few years down the road. Not relevant for me this time - but I would like to state that in my opinion this is very bad practice. Their tech support only pointed me to their web pages ended up hacking it myself between some common sense and looking at how SR did their setup.
#Sampletank 3 sounds how to#
Sure they have info on their site on how to do this but it's severely outdated they talk about being limited to a certain number of outputs and how that's that (they confuse RTAS and aax here saying the limits are the same for both and they aren't) when I know that there is at least one developer (Sonic Reality with the Neil Peart drum library for Kontakt) that uses 16 stereo outs. Other times I had questions about routing multiple outs from Kontakt where I needed more than what was available in presets and creating those outputs. NI for instance - asked them about using their plugins as Audio Suite in PT - and they had no idea at all of what Audio Suite even was! There have been times I've needed developer's help as well but that has been less than helpful and sometimes even dangerous. Good for you - because I've sure needed help at times. Hmm, I never use support, except when some of companies make a mistakes with codes or downloads like AIR. Instead of people falling just short of $99.99, for example, or other JamPoint complexity and different experiences for everybody this was a much more reasonable solution to get the lowest price point out to many people." The preorder pricing was set at such a low level in order to allow everybody to have access to a price that they would have had to use JamPoints to obtain and thus simplifying it for as many people as possible. "JamPoints are usable after the preorder period. I did find a post on page 38 of the thread where Peter_IK says: One thing I'm ticked off about is that JamPoints are not accepted for this purchase when in this thread it was mentioned that they would be it's a long thread and trying to find the posts where that's mentioned is difficult. Went to check IK Multimedia site and find those prices are nothing special as the IK site has the same prices.
Checked the prices and $100 off list price. Got an email from Sweetwater saying Sampletank 3 is available for pre-order.
